They should keep the Tulsi plant in the middle and four sugarcanes on the four sides for decorating. Further, they place the Shaligram of Lord Vishnu towards the right of the plant on a Chowki. After that, they should keep a coconut on top of the Kalash. But before this, they should fill the Kalash with water, rice, and coins and cover its mouth with mango leaves. After this, they should tie the coconut to Kalash with Mauli.

Before starting the Arti:

      1. Place the idol of Lord Ganesh over a pile of rice and worship Him.

      2. Offer Janeu and Kalava to Shaligram and Shringar items along with Chunari to Tulsi Devi.

      3. In the end, offer garlands and then do gathbandhan.
