I look first at the Rahu-Ketu axis. Rahu and Ketu are the lunar nodes. They represent your soul's direction and your past patterns. When one person's planets align closely with the other's nodal axis, the bond feels fated. It often comes with a strong pull and sudden recognition.

Next, I check nakshatra pairing. Each person is born under one of 27 nakshatras, or lunar mansions. Certain nakshatra pairs create a mirror effect, in which both people feel as if they are looking at themselves through someone else's eyes.

Finally, I study the 7th, 8th, and 12th houses. The 7th house shows partnership. The 8th house shows transformation and shared depth. The 12th house shows release and spiritual connection. Heavy overlap among these three houses suggests a twin-flame pattern rather than ordinary compatibility.

This differs from the Western synastry approach used by many calculators, which focuses only on Pluto and Vertex aspects. Vedic astrology adds nakshatra depth and karmic timing, which gives a fuller picture.

This is the question I hear most often, and it is the one a simple calculator cannot answer.

In Vedic astrology, timing comes from your Dasha system. Your life moves through planetary periods called Mahadasha and smaller periods within them called Antardasha. Each period activates different parts of your chart.

For a twin flame connection, I look for Dasha periods ruled by Rahu, Ketu, Venus, or the lord of your 7th house. When these periods begin, they often bring the meeting, the separation, or the reunion your soul has been waiting for.
