The Mantras — Text, Meaning, and Correct Pronunciation
There are several Kamdev mantras used in Vedic practice. These three are the ones I work with in consultations.
1. Kamdev Gayatri Mantra
ॐ कामदेवाय विद्महे, रति प्रियाय धीमहि।
तन्नो अनंग प्रचोदयात्॥Om Kamdevay Vidyamahe, Rati Priyaye Dhimahi.
Tanno Ananga Prachodayat."We meditate upon Kamdev, beloved of Rati. May that divine formless force of love inspire and guide us."
This is the Gayatri form — structured, Vedic, suitable for daily practice. It works on building inner attraction energy over time. I recommend this for people who want a sustained practice rather than an immediate intervention.
2. Kamdev Vashikaran Mantra (Main)
ऊँ नमो भगवते कामदेवाय, यस्य यस्य दृश्यो भवामि,
यश्च यश्च मम मुखम् पश्यति तं तं मोहयतु स्वाहा॥Om Namo Bhagwate Kamdevay, Yasya Yasya Drishyo Bhavami,
Yascha Yascha Mam Mukham Pashyati, Tam Tam Mohayatu Swaha."I bow to Lord Kamdev. May all who see me or meet my gaze be filled with love and drawn toward me."
This is the primary vashikaran form. The operative words are yasya yasya drishyo bhavami — "whoever sees me." It works on the practitioner's aura and presence, not on forcing any specific person. 3. Rati Kamdev Vashikaran Mantra
ॐ नमो भगवते रति रसायनाय वशीकरणाय फट् स्वाहा॥Om Namo Bhagwate Rati Rasaayanay Vashikaranay Phat Swaha."Salutations to Rati and Kamdev — may the essence of love and attraction bring this person under its divine influence."
This one invokes both Kamdev and Rati together. It is stronger than the standard form and is specifically used when attraction between two people has been present before but has faded. Not for a first-time attraction situation.

Chanting Vidhi — The Correct Method
Most pages online give you a loose set of instructions. I am going to be specific because the method matters.
Day to begin: Friday — Shukra's day. Starting on any other day is not wrong, but Friday has the natural Venus alignment that supports this practice.
Time: After sunset, between 7 PM and 9 PM. Alternatively, Brahma Muhurta (approximately 4–5:30 AM) if you wake that early. Avoid afternoons.
Preparation:
  • Bathe before sitting. Clean clothes — ideally white or light pink.
  • Set up a clean, quiet space. Place an image of Kamdev and Rati in front of you.
  • Light a pure ghee lamp — not oil, not candle. Ghee.
  • Offer fresh flowers. White lotus or jasmine if available. Any white flower works.
  • Keep a Rudraksha or Sphatik mala for counting.
If chanting for a specific person: Keep their photograph in front of you alongside the Kamdev image. Do not force the name mentally — simply hold the intention.
Repetitions: 108 times per sitting. One mala. Do not break mid-session.
Duration: Minimum 21 days without a break. 40 days for a stronger effect. 108 days for mantra siddhi — the state where the mantra becomes part of your energy field.
What to avoid during the sadhana period:
  • Non-vegetarian food
  • Alcohol
  • Chanting during menstruation — women should pause and resume after
  • Anger or agitated mental states before sitting
  • Sharing your sadhana details with others while it is ongoing
The last point is one people consistently ignore. Talking about your mantra practice dissipates the energy. Do it quietly.

Wrong intention brings wrong results. The Vedic principle here comes from the nature of Tamas energy — using Kamdev's force for obsession, control, or revenge creates a feedback loop. The more you chant with dark intention, the more unstable your own emotional state becomes. I have seen this. People who started this practice to manipulate someone ended up more anxious and emotionally unbalanced than before.
Emotional dependency. Some people begin chanting and stop taking any real-world action. They wait for the mantra to do everything. That is not how Vedic practice works. The mantra prepares the energy. You still have to show up in the relationship, have the conversation, take the step.
Increased obsession. If you are already thinking about this person constantly, a poorly done practice can intensify that. Set a clear daily limit — your 108 repetitions, then stop. Do not chant throughout the day.
Sleep disturbance. This is a sign the mantra is too intense for your current mental state. Pause for 2–3 days, ground yourself, then resume at a lower count — 54 instead of 108.
Physical restlessness, irritability, or emotional surges during the first week are common and normal. This is the energy moving. It typically settles by day 7–10. If any of these persist beyond two weeks, stop and consult. Do not push through something your body is clearly flagging.

Venus strong and well-placed: If your Venus is in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces in your birth chart — its own signs or exaltation — Kamdev's energy is naturally amplified. The mantra works faster and the sadhana period can be shorter.
Venus in the 7th house: This is the most direct alignment. Venus in the house of marriage and partnership means your attraction energy is already channelled toward relationships. Shukra Mahadasha or Antardasha active: This is the single biggest indicator. If you are currently running Venus Mahadasha or Venus Antardasha within another planet's Mahadasha, you are in the strongest possible window for this practice. Results that might take 90 days in a neutral Dasha can manifest in 40 days during the Shukra period.
Venus conjunct or aspected by Jupiter: Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Venus-Jupiter connections in the chart mean the mantra's effect on your personal magnetism is broader and more sustained.
When to be careful — weak Venus: Venus combust (too close to the Sun), debilitated in Virgo, or hemmed between malefics like Saturn and Mars creates a situation where the mantra alone is insufficient. Shukra remedies need to come first — wearing a diamond or white sapphire, donating white items on Friday, chanting the Shukra Beej mantra — before the Kamdev practice will have full effect.
Rahu-Venus conjunction: Rahu amplifies Venus's desires but also makes them less predictable. People with this conjunction often have intense, unconventional love situations. The mantra can work powerfully but needs more disciplined practice to stay grounded.
