You meet someone. Something shifts inside you. You cannot explain it — but you cannot stop thinking about them.

Or maybe it is the opposite. You want someone to notice you. To feel pulled toward you. But nothing seems to work.

Both situations have a Vedic explanation. And both have a Vedic solution.

I am Pt. Anil Acharya Ji. I have practised Vedic astrology for over 15 years. Mohini attraction is one of the most common questions I receive — from people across India and from the UK, UAE, and Canada.

What Is Mohini Attraction?

The word Mohini comes from the Sanskrit root “Moha” — which means enchantment, captivation, a pull that overrides rational thought.

In Hindu tradition, Mohini is the only female avatar of Lord Vishnu. She appeared during the Samudra Manthan — the churning of the cosmic ocean — when gods and demons both wanted the Amrit, the nectar of immortality. Vishnu took the form of Mohini to draw the demons away from it. Her attraction was so powerful that even Lord Shiva was drawn to her completely.

That is the mythological foundation. But what does it mean in practice?

Mohini attraction in Vedic tradition means channelling divine feminine energy to create genuine emotional pull between yourself and another person.

It is not manipulation. It is not coercion. It works by enhancing your own natural magnetism — your aura, your presence, the energy you put out — so that the right people feel drawn to you naturally.

Important distinction: Mohini attraction works on your own energy field. It makes you more magnetic. Vashikaran, by contrast, is directed specifically at one individual’s thoughts. They are different practices with different purposes — though they are often used together.

Why Mohini Attraction Works — The Planetary Science

Most articles on this topic skip the most important part. They give you the mantra and the procedure. They do not explain why it works.

Here is the Vedic explanation.

Venus (Shukra) is the planet of attraction, beauty, charm, and romantic pull in Vedic astrology. Strong Venus means natural magnetism. People with a well-placed Venus draw others without trying. Weak Venus means suppressed attraction energy — you struggle to draw people toward you even when you genuinely want to.

The Moon (Chandra) governs emotional receptivity. A strong Moon makes you emotionally inviting. People feel comfortable around you. A weak Moon creates emotional distance without any obvious reason.

The 5th house in your birth chart governs romance and the initial spark of attraction. The 7th house governs who you attract and what kind of partnership forms. Both houses and their planetary conditions determine the quality and timing of what comes toward you.

Mohini mantra practice directly invokes the energy of Venus and the divine feminine. When you chant with correct intention and timing, you activate dormant Venusian energy in your own chart. The person you are thinking about begins to feel your energy — not because you forced it, but because you aligned your own vibration with what you genuinely feel.

This is why results are not always instant. A person in Venus Mahadasha may see changes in days. A person in Saturn Mahadasha may need additional planetary remedies before the practice gains full momentum.

The chart is the context. The mantra is the tool.

People born in Venus-ruled Nakshatras — Bharani, Purva Phalguni, and Purva Ashadha — naturally carry Mohini-like attraction energy. For them, this practice amplifies what is already present. For others, it awakens what has been dormant.

Mohini Attraction vs Vashikaran — The Clear Difference

This is the most common question I get after explaining Mohini attraction.

Mohini attraction enhances your own magnetism. It makes you more attractive as a person — your aura, your presence, your energy. It is a Satvik (pure) practice. It works outward from you.

Vashikaran [link to /vashikaran-specialist] is directed at a specific individual. It works on that person’s thoughts and feelings toward you. It is a more targeted practice and needs precise guidance.

Think of it this way. Mohini attraction is like brightening a light. Vashikaran is like pointing that light at a specific person.

Many people use both — and they complement each other well. But they are not the same thing, and the approach differs.

The Mohini Mantra for Attraction — Meaning and How to Use It

There are two primary mantras used in Mohini attraction practice. Here are both, with full meaning and procedure.

MANTRA 1 — The Full Mohini Attraction Invocation

“Om Mohini Devi Vajreshwari Kaam Malini Mum Priyanatam Akarshaye Akarshaye Swaha”

Word-by-word meaning:

Om — the primordial sound, representing the universe and all creation

Mohini Devi — Goddess Mohini, the divine enchantress and female avatar of Lord Vishnu

Vajreshwari — she who holds the power of lightning, strength and determination

Kaam Malini — she adorned with desire, the fulfillment of love and heartfelt wishes

Mum Priyanatam — may I become beloved, deeply loved and cherished

Akarshaye Akarshaye — attract, draw toward me (the word is repeated for emphasis)

Swaha — complete surrender and offering to the divine

How to use:

Chant 108 times daily on a Friday or Purnima (full moon night). Face East. Use a Sphatik or Tulsi mala. Wear white or yellow clothing. Continue for a minimum of 21 days. Set a clear Sankalp (intention) before you begin — state honestly what you want.

MANTRA 2 — The Beej Mantra for Daily Practice

“Om Kleem Mohiniyai Swaha”

Word-by-word meaning:

Om — primordial sound of the universe

Kleem — the Beej (seed) mantra for attraction and desire, directly activates Venus energy

Mohiniyai — to Mohini, invoking the enchantress aspect of the divine feminine

Swaha — surrender and offering

How to use:

This is the shorter form for consistent daily practice. Chant 108 times every morning before sunrise (Brahma Muhurta) or between 9–11 PM. It can be started any day. This mantra is gentler and safe for daily use without a full Puja setup.

Important note on results: How fast these mantras work depends on your current Dasha period and Venus placement in your birth chart. Someone in Venus Mahadasha may see results within days. Someone in Saturn or Rahu Mahadasha may need additional planetary remedies before the practice gains full momentum. The mantra is the tool — the chart is the map.

What Mohini Attraction Feels Like — Signs It Is Working

People who practise Mohini mantra consistently notice a similar pattern of changes. These signs usually appear from day 7 onwards.

People initiate more — those who rarely spoke to you begin reaching out. Conversations start on their own. You are no longer always making the first move.

A calmer, more confident presence — you feel less anxious in social situations. Something in your energy settles. Others pick up on this without you saying a word.

The specific person reaches out unexpectedly — if the practice is directed at someone, they often initiate contact during the Sadhana period without an obvious reason. They may say they “just thought of you.”

Relationship doors open — opportunities in love appear without forced effort. Situations that seemed stuck begin to move.

People respond to you differently — a general shift in how others treat you. More warmth. More attention. A feeling that your presence has changed — because it has.

Mohini Puja for Attraction — What It Involves

Beyond daily mantra chanting, a complete Mohini Puja significantly amplifies the practice.

Best day: Friday (Venus’s day) or Purnima (full moon)

Best time: Brahma Muhurta (pre-dawn, around 4–6 AM) or 9–11 PM

Direction: Face East while chanting

Clothing: White or yellow — both associated with Venus and purity

Items needed: Ghee diya, white flowers, sandalwood incense, Sphatik mala, image of Goddess Mohini or Lord Vishnu

Mantra count: 108 repetitions per session

Duration: 11 days (basic), 21 days (standard), 41 days (full Sadhana)

Sankalp: Set your intention clearly before lighting the diya. State what you genuinely want. Be honest. This is not optional.

On intention: A Puja performed with wrong intention reverses the energy. Mohini Shakti is Satvik — it responds to genuine love and honest desire, not to obsession or control. If your goal is to genuinely connect with someone or to open yourself to love, the practice works. If the goal is to manipulate — the energy turns back.

A Case from My Practice

A 29-year-old woman from Pune came to me in 2023. She had strong feelings for a colleague but felt completely invisible to him — despite working together for two years.

When I looked at her chart, her Venus was placed in the 12th house. That is a classic placement for suppressed attraction energy. The 12th house represents isolation and hidden matters. Venus there makes the person’s warmth invisible to others, even when it is genuine. She was also running Saturn Mahadasha, which was compressing her social expression further.

I prescribed two things. First, a Venus-strengthening remedy — green moong donation on Fridays and a specific Venus mantra. Second, a 21-day Mohini mantra Sadhana starting on a Purnima Friday.

By day 15, he initiated a conversation with her for the first time — without any work pretext. By day 21, he asked to meet outside the office.

They married two years later.

The practice did not create something that was never meant to be. It removed the planetary blockage that was hiding what was already there.

How Your Kundali Affects Mohini Attraction

This is the section that separates a proper Vedic understanding from generic advice. The same mantra produces very different results depending on what is happening in your birth chart right now.

Fastest results: Venus in the 1st, 5th, or 7th house. Venus Mahadasha or Antardasha running. Taurus or Libra Moon sign. Jupiter aspecting Venus.

Good conditions: Moon in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces. Venus placed in friendly signs like Pisces or Taurus. A strong 5th or 7th house lord.

Needs careful handling: Rahu conjunct Venus — creates intense attraction energy but can turn obsessive. Expert guidance is needed here before starting any practice.

Slower — fix first: Venus in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house. Saturn Mahadasha or Sade Sati running. Saturn conjunct Venus in the natal chart.

If your Venus is in a difficult placement or you are in a Saturn or Rahu period — Mohini practice still works. But it works after Venus-strengthening remedies are done first. Starting the mantra without addressing the planetary obstruction is like trying to drive with the handbrake still on.

This is why a chart reading before starting any Mohini Sadhana is genuinely useful — not just a formality. You can contact me directly for a consultation or message on WhatsApp.

When You Should Consult Before Starting

Mohini mantra practice is safe for most people. But consult a qualified Vedic astrologer [link to /vashikaran-specialist] first if any of these apply:

You have tried before and it did not work — your chart may need a different remedy first. Mohini practice without addressing the planetary obstruction will not move.

You are in Sade Sati or Rahu-Ketu Dasha — these powerful planetary periods can override most practices unless additional specific remedies are done first.

You want to attract a specific person — this moves from general attraction into directed vashikaran [link to /vashikaran-specialist], which is a different practice and needs personalised guidance.

You want the best muhurat to start — beginning your Sadhana at the right planetary moment significantly increases effectiveness. This is based on your personal Dasha and current transits.

You are dealing with a broken relationship — if there is a love problem [link to /love-problem-solution] at the root, the underlying issue needs direct attention alongside the Sadhana.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mohini attraction in astrology?

Mohini attraction is a Vedic practice that channels divine feminine energy — specifically the energy of Mohini, the female avatar of Lord Vishnu — to enhance a person’s natural magnetism and create genuine emotional pull. It works through mantras, puja, and planetary alignment rather than force.

What is the difference between Mohini attraction and vashikaran?

Mohini attraction works on your own energy field — it makes you more naturally magnetic. Vashikaran [link to /vashikaran-specialist] is directed at a specific individual’s thoughts and feelings. Mohini practice is Satvik and works outward from you. Vashikaran is more targeted and needs precise guidance.

Which planet governs Mohini attraction?

Venus (Shukra) is the primary planet. Venus governs attraction, beauty, charm, and romantic pull in Vedic astrology. Mohini mantra directly invokes Venusian energy. The Moon (Chandra) also plays a role — it governs emotional receptivity and how others feel in your presence.

What mantra is used for Mohini attraction?

Two mantras are used. The full invocation: “Om Mohini Devi Vajreshwari Kaam Malini Mum Priyanatam Akarshaye Akarshaye Swaha” — chanted 108 times on Fridays or Purnima. The shorter Beej mantra: “Om Kleem Mohiniyai Swaha” — chanted 108 times every morning. Both are explained with full meaning in the article above.

How many days does Mohini mantra take to show results?

It varies by person and chart. In a favourable Venus Dasha, changes can appear from day 7 onwards. In a Saturn or Rahu Dasha, it may take the full 21–41 day Sadhana period or need additional remedies first. The chart determines the timeline — not just the number of repetitions.

Can Mohini attraction be used to attract a specific person?

The general Mohini practice enhances your overall magnetism. To direct energy toward a specific person, the practice moves into vashikaran territory and needs personalised guidance.

Using the mantra while focusing on a specific person is a common approach but works best when the chart shows compatibility between both people.

What is the best day to perform Mohini puja?

Friday is the best day — it is Venus’s day in Vedic astrology. Purnima (full moon) is the most potent single day to begin a Mohini Sadhana. For ongoing practice, any Friday works. Brahma Muhurta (pre-dawn) is the best time of day for chanting.

Does Mohini attraction have side effects?

When practised with pure intention and correct procedure, Mohini mantra Sadhana has no harmful effects. The risk comes from wrong intention — attempting to control or manipulate rather than genuinely connect. In that case, the energy reverses. This is why honest Sankalp (intention-setting) before beginning is essential.

Final Note

Mohini attraction is not magic in the Western sense. It is Vedic science applied to the most human of desires — to love and to be loved.

The practice works. Your chart tells you how — and how fast.

If you have been feeling invisible to someone who matters to you, or if you simply want to understand why your natural attraction energy feels blocked — the answer is usually sitting in your Venus placement and your current Dasha period.
